Wayne NJ Theft ChargesThe manager of a hotel in Wayne was indicted by a state grand jury on theft charges.

The suspect is a 43-year-old man from Cliffside Park. While working as a hotel manager at the Fairbridge Inn in Wayne NJ, the suspect allegedly stole more than $1 million and also depleted his boss’ annuity of approximately $600,000.

The suspect reportedly used the stolen funds to buy property in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey. According to prosecutors, he later sold the real estate for a significant profit.

The suspect’s boss became aware of the alleged theft in December 2015 and contacted Prudential. The insurance company subsequently notified law enforcement officials, spurring the Office of Insurance Fraud Protection to open an investigation into the suspect

The suspect was eventually arrested and charged with multiple crimes, including theft by deception, money laundering, identity theft, and forgery.

Now the suspect may head to trial after being indicted by a grand jury.

Woodland Park Manslaughter SuspectA NY man faces charges for death by auto after he allegedly caused a car crash in Woodland Park NJ road that resulted in his passenger dying.

The single-vehicle accident happened around 6:15 a.m. on the 800 block of Rifle Camp Road in Woodland Park, New Jersey.

The suspect is a 29-year-old man from Tompkins Cove, New York. He was driving a 2004 Chevy Impala when he allegedly lost control of the vehicle and went off the road.

A 20-year-old passenger in the car suffered catastrophic injuries in the accident and was later pronounced dead.

Detectives with the Woodland Park Police Department conducted an investigation into the fatal car accident and determined that the driver may have been drunk. It is unclear at this time whether blood tests were administered to the driver.

The suspect has been charged with death by auto, a very serious criminal offense that could lead to him being sentenced to 5-10 years behind bars.

Additionally, the suspect has been cited for multiple traffic offenses, including Driving Under the Influence (DUI).

Clifton NJ Stabbing ChargesA Passaic County jury issued a guilty verdict against a Clifton New Jersey man charged with attempted murder for a stabbing incident.

The suspect lived in an apartment on Center Street in Clifton, NJ – an apartment that he shared with the victim. Around 1:00 a.m. on January 10, 2016, the suspect returned to the residence, approached the victim, and stabbed him with a kitchen knife. The victim sustained life-threatening injuries to his abdomen.

Afterwards, the suspect exited the apartment and fled the scene on foot.

The victim contacted local police, which sent cops and emergency crews to the scene. Emergency responders took the victim to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson NJ, where doctors saved his life.

The suspect was later placed under arrest and charged with multiple crimes, including first degree attempted murder, second degree aggravated assault, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.

Now the suspect faces severe penalties after he was found guilty of attempted murder. When the suspect returns to Passaic County Superior Court on April 21, he could potentially be sentenced to 20 years in NJ State Prison.

Ringwood NJ Murder ChargesRingwood New Jersey police arrested a local man who allegedly murdered his ex-girlfriend in a domestic violence altercation.

The suspect is a 38-year-old man from Ringwood, NJ, while the victim was a 38-year-old woman who also resided in Ringwood. According to law enforcement officials, the suspect went to the Van Dunk Lane residence of the victim a short time before midnight on Wednesday and fired a shotgun blast through her front door. The victim was struck by the shotgun blast and died as a result of her injuries.

Ringwood NJ cops were sent to the scene to investigate a report of gunshots fired. When they got to the home, they found the suspect and arrested him. Police officers also reportedly found the shotgun used in the fatal attack.

Passaic County NJ detectives investigated the shooting and determined that the suspect and the victim used to date but had ended the relationship before the fatal shooting.

The suspect now faces multiple criminal charges, including first degree murder and unlawful possession of a weapon. If he is convicted on the most serious charges of murder, he could potentially be sentenced to life imprisonment in NJ State Prison.

Police went to the residence to serve a temporary restraining order (TRO). While searching the residence, detectives allegedly discovered the bunker filled with machine guns, an automatic grenade launcher, and ammunition magazines. Police allegedly seized a total of 80 firearms.

The suspect was subsequently charged with multiple counts of unlawful possession of a weapon. He managed to avoid trial in the case by reaching a plea agreement with federal prosecutors.

Now the suspect is headed to a federal penitentiary after a U.S. District Court judge signed off on the plea deal and sentenced him to two years behind bars.

The violent incident happened a short time before 4:00 a.m. on August 31, 2014. The three suspects, a 21-year-old male and two 22-year-old males, reportedly fired numerous gunshots at a gold Taurus station wagon driving on North 6th Street in Paterson, NJ.

The gunshots struck two people, one of whom died as a result of his shooting-related injuries. Prosecutors said that neither victim was an intended target of the suspects.

The suspects were eventually apprehended and charged with numerous crimes. Following an indictment, the case went to trial in Passaic County Superior Court in Hackensack, NJ.

Now the trial has ended, with the jury issuing guilty verdicts on a number of charges, including aggravated manslaughter, aggravated assault, and unlawful possession of a weapon. However, the jury found the suspects not guilty on the first degree murder charges.

While the suspects wait for sentencing, they will remain at the Passaic County Jail.

The suspect is a 77-year-old doctor who works in Little Falls, NJ. According to authorities, the suspect sold medication to drug addicts and drug dealers even though he knew that they had drug problems.

The suspect reportedly prescribed oxycodone to a 26-year-old Clifton man in 2014. The suspect then died due to a prescription drug overdose. The victim’s mother later told detectives that she explicitly warned the suspect to not prescribe painkillers to her son.

The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) started an investigation into the suspect and allegedly discovered that he was prescribing oxycodone to patients without a clear medical need for the medication.

After the suspect allegedly sold painkillers to an undercover DEA agent, he was arrested.

The suspect’s wife was also arrested and charged because she reportedly conspired with the suspect to prescribe opioids to the victim and others.

Now the suspect and his wife face significant penalties. A grand jury recently indicted the pair on several charges, including strict liability homicide, prescription drug distribution, conspiracy, money laundering, and tax fraud.

If the doctor is ultimately convicted under the New Jersey strict liability statute, he could be sentenced to as many as 20 years in NJ State Prison.
