Paterson NJ Homicide ChargesPaterson New Jersey police officers recently arrested a local man who allegedly murdered a teen during an armed robbery.

The suspect reportedly committed the homicide just after 5:00 p.m. on February 4. The 17-year-old victim was reportedly walking along Auburn Street in Paterson when the suspect committed the armed robbery.

During the theft crime incident, the suspect allegedly used a handgun to fire multiple gunshots at the victim and a second person. The teen died as a result of the shooting, while the second victim sustained life-threatening injuries and required emergency medical treatment at a local medical facility.

Paterson NJ police detectives investigated the homicide and eventually placed the suspect under arrest. The suspect was apprehended without incident at his home on Anne Street in Paterson, NJ.

The suspect faces a number of criminal charges, including first degree murder, attempted murder, armed robbery, and weapons offenses.

If the suspect is ultimately convicted on the first degree murder charges, he could be sentenced to life imprisonment in NJ State Prison.

Wayne NJ Credit Card Theft LawyersA Wayne NJ man was recently arrested and charged with credit card fraud after he allegedly used a stolen credit card to make purchases at stores in Secaucus, New Jersey.

The suspect is a 40-year-old man from Wayne, New Jersey. According to authorities, the suspect stole a credit card, among other items, from two people at Retro Fitness on Meadowlands Parkway in Secaucus, NJ.

The victims notified law enforcement about the theft incident, but the suspect was still allegedly able to use the stolen credit card to buy $1,500 in gift cards and other items at stores that included Home Depot, Best Buy, and Walmart.

Detectives with the Secaucus Police Department investigated the credit card theft and eventually arrested the suspect. Secaucus NJ law enforcement was assisted in the investigation by police in Hackensack and River Edge.

The suspect has now been charged with multiple counts of fraudulent use of a credit card and receiving stolen property.

Paterson NJ Murder Defense AttorneysPaterson New Jersey police are investigating several recent shootings over a single weekend.

The first shooting occurred in the area of Straight Street and Montgomery Street in Paterson, NJ. Paterson cops and paramedics rushed to the scene, but they could not save one of the shooting victims. A second victim was taken to a local hospital and treated for shooting-related injuries.

The second violent incident happened that same night near the intersection of 23rd Street and 12th Avenue in Paterson, New Jersey. A woman was shot in the leg.

The third shooting happened the following night. According to law enforcement, two people were injured after being shot near the intersection of Governor Street and Carroll Street in Paterson, NJ. They were taken to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center.

If Paterson detectives can eventually identify the culprit in the fatal shooting, that person would probably face first degree murder charges. If police can identify and capture any of the people responsible for the other shootings, the culprits would likely face criminal charges for aggravated assault and weapons offenses.

Paterson NJ Murder SuspectPaterson NJ police recently arrested a local teen who allegedly murdered a man and injured another in a shooting incident.

The suspect, a 19-year-old Paterson resident, allegedly used a firearm to shoot at two men walking in the area of Montgomery Street and Straight Street in Paterson, New Jersey.

One of the victims was a 19-year-old male from Paterson, NJ. He died due to injuries sustained in the shooting. The other victim is a 20-year-old Paterson male who survived his gunshot wounds.

Detectives with the Paterson Police Department investigated the homicide and identified the suspect as the possible shooter. Police officers later arrested the suspect at his home on North 4th Street.

The suspect has been charged with several crimes, including first degree murder, attempted murder, aggravated assault, and weapons offenses. Moreover, the suspect faces criminal charges for drug distribution because detectives allegedly found him in possession of a large amount of illegal narcotics.

After being placed under arrest and charged, the suspect was taken to the Passaic County Jail in Paterson, NJ.

Paterson NJ Robbery ChargesA Paterson man was recently arraigned in federal court on armed robbery charges after law enforcement arrested him in connection with a theft incident.

The suspect, a 34-year-old f Paterson NJ resident, allegedly wore a Passaic County sheriff’s officer uniform in order to scope out an apartment on 20th Avenue in Paterson, New Jersey.

The suspect was reportedly joined in the attempted break-in by a 30-year-old resident of Newark, NJ.

Detectives ultimately connected both suspects to the home invasion. Police subsequently located and arrested the robbery suspects.

The Paterson NJ suspect has been charged with numerous crimes, including conspiracy to commit robbery and attempted robbery. He also faces charges for multiple weapons offenses, including brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence and a certain persons offense for unlawfully possessing a firearm as a convicted felon.

If the suspect is unable to reach a plea agreement with the U.S. Attorney’s Office or otherwise resolve his case outside of court, he could ultimately stand trial in US District Court in Newark, New Jersey.

Clifton Bank Robbery ChargesA Newark man recently pleaded guilty to federal bank robbery charges for robbing banks located in Clifton, Kearny, and Lyndhurst.

The suspect, a 39-year-old man from Newark, NJ, was placed under arrest in September 2016 and charged with multiple counts of bank robbery.

According to prosecutors, the suspect committed the theft offenses in a single month this past summer. He reportedly robbed the Capital One Bank located in Clifton, the Schuyler Savings Bank located on Davis Avenue in Kearny, and the M&T Bank located in Lyndhurst. The suspect allegedly held up the Kearny NJ bank twice.

Detectives with several police departments investigated the bank robberies and eventually identified and apprehended the suspect.

Now the suspect has reached a plea deal with federal prosecutors and pleaded guilty to the bank robbery charges.

The suspect will appear in US District Court in August so that he can be formally sentenced. It’s possible that he could be sentenced to 20 years in a federal prison and fined more than $250K.

Passaic NJ Corruption ChargesThe former Passaic mayor was recently sentenced to more than two years in federal prison on bribery charges.

Alex Blanco was the previous mayor of Passaic NJ until he had to resign because of the corruption allegations. Blanco allegedly solicited bribes from developers and then gave federal housing funds to the developers.

He was placed under arrest last year and eventually reached a deal with prosecutors: he pleaded guilty to bribery charges.

Now Blanco is headed to prison after being sentenced in the case. He recently appeared in US District Court in Newark, where a federal judge approved the plea agreement and sentenced Blanco to 27 months behind bars.

In addition to the prison time, the former Passaic NJ mayor was ordered to pay $110,000 in restitution. Moreover, Blanco will be subject to probation and supervised release for a period of three years after he completes his prison sentence.

The judge could have imposed a sentence of 46 months in federal prison but opted for the more lenient sentence because of Blanco’s “admirable” life of public service before the bribery and corruption.

Paterson NJ Kidnapping ChargesA Waldwick New Jersey man reached a deal with federal prosecutors and pleaded guilty to criminal charges for kidnapping a cab driver in Paterson, NJ.

The suspect, a 21-year-old male from Waldwick in Bergen County, was allegedly one of several men who committed an armed robbery at a Hawthorne NJ tavern on Christmas Day and later kidnapped a taxi driver in Paterson, New Jersey.

After snatching the victim and forcing him to get into the backseat of the cab, the Waldwick NJ suspect reportedly hit him in the head with a beer bottle. The suspects also allegedly used a knife to cut the driver’s throat and then threw him out of the cab somewhere in NY.

Police later identified and arrested the alleged kidnappers.

Now the Waldwick suspect is probably headed to a federal prison after he reached a plea deal with the U.S. Attorney’s Office and pleaded guilty to charges for kidnapping, armed robbery, and carjacking.

The suspect will make an appearance in U.S. District Court in August 2017 so that a federal judge can sign off on his plea deal.

Wayne NJ Cocaine Possession ChargesWayne NJ police recently arrested three people after authorities allegedly found 44 bags of heroin, as well as other illegal narcotics, in a car during a traffic stop for speeding.

Two Wayne police officers were on patrol near the Kohl’s department store by the Wayne-Pequannock border when they reportedly saw a 2007 Hyundai commit a speeding violation. The officers stopped the car and approached the driver’s side.

While talking to the driver, a 26-year-old Sparta NJ woman, the Wayne cops allegedly observed drug paraphernalia and a bag of heroin inside the motor vehicle.

Police later searched the car and reportedly found 44 glassine bags of heroin that had been hidden under a floorboard, an unspecified amount of crack cocaine, and a folding knife.

Wayne NJ police arrested the driver and two men who were passengers in the vehicle.

The Sparta woman faces charges for multiple drug offenses, including possession of heroin and possession of cocaine. She has also been cited for possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) in a motor vehicle.

Meanwhile, the two passengers – a 39-year-old Montague resident and a 22-year-old Green Pond NJ resident – face criminal charges for possession of cocaine.

After being placed under arrest and processed, the suspects were remanded to the Passaic County Jail in Paterson, New Jersey.

Haledon Underage Drinking LawyersHaledon NJ law enforcement recently arrested 10 people, including six juveniles, at a local hookah lounge and charged them with offenses related to underage drinking.

The Haledon Police Department launched an investigation after getting multiple complaints about possible underage drinking at Café Diaz on Haledon Avenue in Haledon, NJ. The investigation was called “Operation Smoke” and culminated in more than 20 undercover cops conducting surveillance on the Haledon lounge.

Over the course of roughly seven hours, Haledon detectives arrested 10 people.

Six of the individuals placed under arrest by police were charged with the juvenile offense of underage drinking because they were reportedly consuming alcohol. The minors are from different areas of NJ, including Prospect Park, Passaic, Haledon, Clifton, Haledon, and Bergenfield.

Haledon police officers also arrested a 25-year-old Englewood man who reportedly had an outstanding arrest warrant.

Finally, Haledon NJ police arrested the three owners of the Haledon club: a 29-year-old Paramus resident, a 21-year-old Passaic resident, and a 22-year-old Elmwood Park resident. The business owners have been charged with numerous crimes and ordinance violations, including serving alcohol to minors, maintaining a nuisance, selling tobacco products to minors, and failing to maintain smoke detectors.
