Paterson NJ police recently arrested a local teen who allegedly murdered a man and injured another in a shooting incident.
The suspect, a 19-year-old Paterson resident, allegedly used a firearm to shoot at two men walking in the area of Montgomery Street and Straight Street in Paterson, New Jersey.
One of the victims was a 19-year-old male from Paterson, NJ. He died due to injuries sustained in the shooting. The other victim is a 20-year-old Paterson male who survived his gunshot wounds.
Detectives with the Paterson Police Department investigated the homicide and identified the suspect as the possible shooter. Police officers later arrested the suspect at his home on North 4th Street.
The suspect has been charged with several crimes, including first degree murder, attempted murder, aggravated assault, and weapons offenses. Moreover, the suspect faces criminal charges for drug distribution because detectives allegedly found him in possession of a large amount of illegal narcotics.
After being placed under arrest and charged, the suspect was taken to the Passaic County Jail in Paterson, NJ.
