The other victim, a 26-year-old Paterson resident, suffered a gunshot wound to his torso; he was later listed in critical condition.

Passaic NJ Robbery ChargesA Passaic New Jersey man is going to state prison after he pleaded guilty to his role in a violent home invasion six years ago.

The suspect is a 38-year-old resident of Passaic, NJ. He reportedly committed the violent criminal offense on August 6, 2011 in Irvington, New Jersey. According to law enforcement officials, the suspect and another man wore fake police officer uniforms and went to an apartment on Manor Drive in Irvington, NJ.

The suspects reportedly lied in order to gain access to the apartment. Once inside, the suspects reportedly used zip ties to tie up the female residents. The suspects then allegedly robbed the victims of cash and expensive jewelry.

The Passaic NJ suspect was eventually captured by police and charged with multiple crimes, including kidnapping, burglary, robbery, impersonating a police officer, and conspiracy.

The suspect managed to avoid trial in the case by reaching a plea deal with Essex County prosecutors. He admitted his role in the violent home invasion and pleaded guilty to criminal charges for burglary, robbery, impersonating a cop, and conspiracy. Prosecutors agreed to drop the kidnapping charges against the suspect.

The suspect will later make an appearance in Essex County Superior Court and be sentenced to eight years in NJ State Prison.

The theft incident happened on June 1 in Paterson, New Jersey. The victim was operating an Express Bus in the city just before 3:00 a.m. when the suspect reportedly got on the bus, walked toward the driver, and threatened to use a knife to harm the driver unless he handed over money. According to police, the suspect’s knife was attached to brass knuckles.

After the driver gave $200 in cash to the suspect and got off the bus, the suspect reportedly fled the scene in the bus. The suspect reportedly abandoned the bus somewhere in the city a short time later.

Paterson NJ police detectives are currently investigating the robbery incident. Police recently released surveillance video footage of the bus theft.
