A man who used to work as a nurse in Paterson New Jersey has been charged with sexual assault in Middlesex County, NJ.
The suspect is a 29-year-old male resident of Perth Amboy, New Jersey. He is employed as a registered nurse at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He previously served as a nurse at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson, NJ.
According to the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office, the suspect committed the sexual offenses against two female patients at the New Brunswick NJ hospital.
One of the victims, a 74-year-old woman, reportedly went to the hospital emergency room for urgent medical treatment. The other victim, a 49-year-old woman, reportedly went to the New Brunswick medical facility for medical care.
The suspect faces numerous sex crime charges, including charges for second degree sexual assault, fourth degree criminal sexual contact, and lewdness. If the suspect is convicted on the most serious criminal charges, he could potentially be sentenced to time behind bars in NJ State Prison. Beyond that, he could be required to register as a sex offender under Megan’s Law after serving any prison sentence.
