Law enforcement arrested 15 women who allegedly attempted to engage in prostitution in Paterson, NJ.
Police made the arrests during an undercover operation: a “Quality of Life Operation.” According to officials, detectives with the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office started the investigation after getting information about men soliciting prostitutes in the area of Market Street and East 22nd Street in Paterson, New Jersey.
Over the course of four hours, Passaic County officers reportedly saw at least 15 women attempting to illegally sell sexual services.
The 15 suspects reside in several counties: Passaic County, Bergen County, Essex County, and Hudson County.
The suspects have all been charged with sex crimes. Additionally, some of suspects already face criminal charges in nearby Passaic County municipalities.
