Police made the arrests around 5:00 p.m. Detectives with the Paterson Police Department Narcotics Division were conducting an investigation around 3 Grimes Place in Paterson NJ when they reportedly observed the two suspects walking on the street and acting suspiciously.

Paterson NJ cops moved toward the suspects and spoke with the two men. At some point, Paterson police searched the suspects and allegedly found 605 packets containing heroin. Police also allegedly discovered $1,105 in cash that authorities believe represents the proceeds of illegal drug sales.

The suspects both live in Paterson, New Jersey. They were arrested and charged with numerous drug crimes, including heroin possession, possession with intent to distribute heroin, and distribution of heroin near public housing.

If the suspects are ultimately convicted on the criminal charges of distributing heroin, they would be subject to significant criminal penalties. As set forth by N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5, anyone caught in possession of more than five ounces of heroin can potentially be charged with a first degree crime. Paterson NJ Impersonating a Police Officer LawyersPassaic County law enforcement apprehended a man who allegedly impersonated a cop so that his girlfriend could get out of a traffic ticket in Paterson, NJ.

A Passaic County Sheriff’s officer was on patrol near Presidential Boulevard in Paterson when he reportedly noticed a female driver using her cellphone while driving a 2016 black Nissan Rouge. The traffic cop pulled over the vehicle and talked to the driver.

According to authorities, the driver claimed that she was talking on her cell phone while driving because an urgent situation required her to communicate with her boyfriend. Moreover, the woman allegedly said that her boyfriend was a police officer.

The boyfriend soon showed up at the scene and spoke with the Passaic County NJ cop. He reportedly told the patrol officer that he used to work as a police officer in Hillsdale and Kearny, New Jersey. Additionally, the suspect allegedly claimed that his girlfriend, the person driving the car, was a New Jersey State Trooper.

The suspect was unable to provide law enforcement identification or any other proof that he was a police officer, so the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office contacted the New Jersey State Police, the Hillsdale Police Department, the Kearny Police Department, and the NJ State Department of Corrections. Not a single one of these agencies could confirm that the suspect was a cop.

Investigators were soon able to determine that the suspect worked as a security guard, not as a cop.

When police searched the suspect, they found a Glock 19 handgun.

The suspect, a 32-year-old man who lives in Paterson, now faces criminal charges for impersonating a police officer. The suspect was not charged with illegal possession of a handgun because he reportedly has a legal permit to carry the weapon.

Clifton NJ Aggravated Assault LawyersClifton NJ law enforcement recently released the identity of a person who allegedly eluded police in Clifton New Jersey and caused a scary motorcycle crash that injured a patrol cop.

Christopher Cena is a Clifton resident who reportedly fled a Clifton NJ police officer and led the cop on a high-speed chase that went through Clifton and Paterson.

According to detectives with the Clifton Police Department, Cena was riding his motorcycle along Grove Street in Clifton when a police officer observed him committing a traffic offense. The police officer then tried to initiate a traffic stop, only to see Cena to drive away and flee the scene.

The scare chase lasted a while and passed through multiple towns before finally ending when the motorcycle collided with the patrol vehicle in Paterson, New Jersey.

The Clifton NJ police officer suffered head injuries in the car accident.

Cena, a 27-year-old resident of Clifton, New Jersey, has been charged with several crimes, including aggravated assault on a police officer and eluding police.

If Cena is ultimately convicted on the aggravated assault charges, he could be in store for severe penalties. As set forth by N.J.S.A. 2C:12-1(b), a person who assaults a law enforcement officer can be charged with a third degree felony. A conviction for third degree aggravated assault could result in a sentence of 3-5 years in New Jersey State Prison.

After being placed under arrest and processed, Cena was taken to the Passaic County Jail. He was being held at the jail on a $100K bail amount.

Clifton New Jersey Eluding LawyersA Clifton NJ police officer was seriously injured after he lost control of his patrol vehicle and crashed during a pursuit of a suspect.

The police pursuit began just before 8:00 p.m. According to authorities, the Clifton patrol officer saw the suspect committing a traffic offense while riding a motorcycle on Grove Street in Clifton, New Jersey.

When the police officer attempted to pull over the motorcyclist, the suspect allegedly continued driving and subsequently led police on a high-speed chase through Clifton and Paterson, NJ.

The police chase ended on Route 20 in Paterson NJ when the Clifton patrol officer crashed his car.

Another police officer was able to apprehend and arrest the motorcyclist. Meanwhile, the injured police officer was transported to nearby St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center, where he was treated for a head wound. The victim was later listed in stable condition.

The suspect also received treatment for his own injuries before being handed over to Clifton NJ police so that he could be processed and charged.

The suspect has been charged with multiple crimes, including eluding police and aggravated assault. He was also cited for several traffic violations.

Paterson NJ police received a tip about illegal drug sales in the parking lot of the White Castle. Police officers were subsequently dispatched to the scene to investigate.

The Paterson police officers staked out the restaurant parking lot and spotted a 2014 Ford Fusion driven by the suspect.

Police monitored the suspicious vehicle and allegedly saw the suspect stash a bag filled with illegal drugs in the trunk of his car. After allegedly hiding the drugs behind a carpet in the trunk, the suspect reportedly took out a large wad of cash and entered the White Castle to buy some food.

When the suspect walked out of the restaurant, Paterson police officers swooped in and detained the suspect. Police later searcher the vehicle and allegedly discovered a large amount of marijuana inside the trunk, Paterson NJ police also allegedly found small bag of crack cocaine on the suspect.

According to authorities, the suspect talked to Paterson police officers and admitted that the cocaine and marijuana belonged to him.

The suspect is a 20-year-old man who lives in Middlebury, Connecticut. He faces criminal charges for several drug offenses, including distribution of crack cocaine and distribution of marijuana. The suspect also faces charges for possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) near a school zone and possession of a CDS near public housing.

After being arrested and processed, the suspect was taken to the Passaic County Jail. He was being held at the jail on a $100K bail amount.

Paterson NJ Homicide LawyersPaterson New Jersey police arrested a local man who was wanted in connection with a homicide in Atlanta, Georgia.

According to authorities, the suspect fatally shot someone in Atlanta earlier this year.

The suspect was later captured by Paterson police officers near his residence on Mercer Street in Paterson, NJ. Paterson NJ detectives spotted the suspect walking in the neighborhood and arrested him on sight.

After the suspect was handcuffed and put in the back of a police patrol vehicle, he somehow managed to slip out of his handcuffs and leap from the police car while it was moving. However, the Paterson NJ police officers soon recaptured the suspect.

Paterson police later arrested the suspect’s girlfriend after she was reportedly seen trying to discard evidence in the homicide case. Police officers allegedly saw the girlfriend tossing a gym bag out of her residence. When authorities searched the bag, they reportedly found a .380-caliber handgun that may have been used to commit the murder in Georgia.

The suspect in the killing is a 33-year-old man who lives in Paterson, NJ. He has been charged with first degree murder charges in Georgia. The suspect also faces criminal charges for numerous crimes in New Jersey, including illegal possession of a handgun, a certain persons offense for being a felon unlawfully in possession of a gun, illegal possession of hollow point ammunition, and aggravated assault of a police officer.

The suspect’s girlfriend, a 31-year-old woman from Paterson, NJ, was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon and hindering apprehension.

Paterson New Jersey Cocaine LawyersPolice recently arrested two men who allegedly possessed a large quantity of cocaine while driving in Paterson, New Jersey.

Detectives with the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office, assisted by Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) officials, were conducting an investigation near 21st Avenue in Paterson NJ when they saw a Honda Odyssey repeatedly circling the block.

Law enforcement later pulled over the van and talked to the vehicle occupants. Police then conducted a search of the minivan and allegedly discovered four pounds of cocaine hidden in a secret hydraulic compartment.

Passaic County Sheriff’s Office detectives also allegedly found 519 glassines of heroin and $7,230 in cash that is believed to represent the proceeds of illicit drug sales.

Officials indicated that the seized cocaine has a street value of roughly $200,000 because the cocaine is undiluted and “pure.”

The suspects live in Paterson, New Jersey. One suspect, a 32-year-old male, was the driver of the minivan; the other suspect, a 23-year-old male, was a passenger in the minivan.

Both suspects were arrested and charged with multiple drug crimes, including cocaine possession, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, and heroin possession.

Paterson New Jersey Theft LawyersPaterson NJ police are looking into a recent theft attempt in which the victim was able to fend off his attackers by using an umbrella that he was carrying at the time.

According to Paterson NJ officials, the theft incident went down around 6:30 a.m. in the area of the intersection of Ellison Street and Rosa Parks Boulevard in Paterson, NJ.

The victim is a 62-year-old man who resides in Paterson, New Jersey. He was walking on Ellison Street when two men allegedly approached him and tried to hold him up. One of the men reportedly held a handgun and put it in the victim’s face while demanded that he hand over his money.

The victim managed to keep his attackers at by with his umbrella. At one point, he reportedly told the suspect that he would not be giving them his cash. He then used his umbrella to strike the suspect who was holding the gun.

The suspects ran away from the suspect and headed in the direction of Broadway.

The victim later contacted the Paterson Police Department and alerted law enforcement. Paterson NJ police officers canvassed the area for the suspects, but they could not locate them. Investigators have not yet identified either of the theft crime suspects.

If police are eventually able to determine the suspects’ identities, criminal charges for armed robbery and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose would likely follow.

A conviction for robbery would subject the suspects to significant penalties. As set forth by N.J.S.A. 2C:15-1, robbery is a first degree crime when the offender used a deadly weapon like a handgun or a knife. A conviction on first degree armed robbery charges could result in a sentence of 10-20 years in New Jersey State Prison.

Heroin Distribution Charges in Paterson NJPaterson New Jersey police recently arrested a man accused of possessing a large amount of heroin.

According to Paterson authorities, police got a tip about heroin being sold near the intersection of May Street and Highland Street in Paterson, NJ. The Passaic County Sheriff’s Office Bureau of Narcotics then began an investigation and conducted surveillance in the area.

Passaic County detectives allegedly saw the suspect in the process of selling heroin. The suspect reportedly had a small cardboard box that was filled with glassine envelopes of heroin. Police reportedly watched the suspect as he carried the box and waved down a passing SUV.

Police officers then approached the suspect, prompting the driver of the vehicle to flee the area.

Passaic County police seized the suspect’s cardboard box and allegedly saw that it contained 500 glassine envelopes filled with heroin. Law enforcement later said that the heroin has a street value of roughly $2,500.

The suspect is a 21-year-old man from Paterson, New Jersey. He was arrested and charged with several drug offenses, including heroin possession, possession with intent to distribute heroin, and heroin distribution near school property.

If the suspect is ultimately convicted of distributing heroin, he would be subject to severe penalties. As set forth by N.J.S.A. 2C:35-5, a person caught selling even a small amount of heroin can be charged with a third degree crime that carries a potential penalty of 3-5 years in NJ State Prison.

The penalties imposed against the suspect, if convicted, could also be enhanced because he has a prior arrest for distribution of heroin. According to Passaic County law enforcement, the suspect was placed under arrest in July 2015 when detectives observed him conducting an illegal drug deal.

Paterson NJ Heroin Distribution LawyersPaterson New Jersey police recently arrested eight people in connection with a major heroin distribution operation.

According to officials, the raid was carried out at a residence on Jane Street in Paterson NJ around 6:30 p.m. The raid came at the conclusion of a lengthy investigation by the Paterson Police Department Narcotics Division. Law enforcement opened the investigation after getting multiple reports about a heroin mill that was operating within city limits.

Paterson investigators obtained search warrants subsequently executed them at the Paterson NJ house.

While searching the residence, Paterson police allegedly found a large amount of illicit drugs, including 319 glassines of heroin, numerous baggies of crack cocaine, several baggies filled with MDMA (or “Molly”), and in excess of 100 grams of pot. Police also reportedly discovered more than 7,000 empty glassines.

Paterson NJ police ultimately placed eight people under arrest. The suspect all reside in Paterson and have been connected to the alleged drug trafficking operation.

The suspects face numerous drug crime charges, including heroin distribution, heroin possession, possession of crack cocaine, and simple possession of marijuana. A few of the suspects were also charged with obstruction of justice because they allegedly tried to destroy evidence.

The Paterson police director later issued a statement announcing the arrests and praising the investigating officers for “working tirelessly in locating and closing the operation down to make a safer city.”
