Clifton New Jersey Eluding LawyersA Clifton NJ police officer was seriously injured after he lost control of his patrol vehicle and crashed during a pursuit of a suspect.

The police pursuit began just before 8:00 p.m. According to authorities, the Clifton patrol officer saw the suspect committing a traffic offense while riding a motorcycle on Grove Street in Clifton, New Jersey.

When the police officer attempted to pull over the motorcyclist, the suspect allegedly continued driving and subsequently led police on a high-speed chase through Clifton and Paterson, NJ.

The police chase ended on Route 20 in Paterson NJ when the Clifton patrol officer crashed his car.

Another police officer was able to apprehend and arrest the motorcyclist. Meanwhile, the injured police officer was transported to nearby St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center, where he was treated for a head wound. The victim was later listed in stable condition.

The suspect also received treatment for his own injuries before being handed over to Clifton NJ police so that he could be processed and charged.

The suspect has been charged with multiple crimes, including eluding police and aggravated assault. He was also cited for several traffic violations.
