Fetty Wap, a rapper from Paterson New Jersey, was arrested earlier this month after Cedar Grove NJ police reportedly busted him driving with a suspended license.
Police made the arrest shortly after 8:00 p.m. on July 6. A Cedar Grove NJ patrol officer reportedly saw Fetty Wap commit a traffic offense and subsequently initiated a traffic stop.
The Cedar Grove patrol cop ran a check on Fetty Wap through the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission database and reportedly learned that the Paterson NJ resident was driving with a suspended driver’s license. Apparently, Fetty Wap lost his driving privileges in New Jersey after failing to show up for a required court appearance.
The Paterson NJ musician and rapper, whose real name is Willie Maxwell II, has reportedly lost his driving privileges a number of times due to Driving While Suspended convictions, failure to appear in court, and failure to pay child support.
After being arrested and processed at Cedar Grove NJ police headquarters, Fetty Wap was released with a summons. The Paterson resident will have to show up for another court date in Cedar Grove Municipal Court to address the traffic citation.
