Kevin Olsen Sexual Assault ChargesA former football player at Wayne Hills High School in Wayne New Jersey faces rape charges in North Carolina.

The suspect is Kevin Olsen, a 22-year-old male who attends the University of North Carolina-Charlotte and plays quarterback for the school’s football team. His brother is Greg Olsen, a star tight end for a team in National Football League (NFL).

According to Charlotte authorities, the suspect was drunk when he repeatedly raped his 23-year-old girlfriend. The attack was classified as a domestic violence incident because of the relationship between the suspect and the victim.

The victim talked to police and said that Olsen became very upset when the pair got separated while out for a night of drinking in Charlotte, NC. The pair later reunited at Olsen’s apartment, only for things to reportedly turn violent. Olsen allegedly threatened to commit suicide, then threatened to kill the victim.

The suspect also allegedly raped the victim before she was able to escape from the apartment. She went to Carolinas Medical Center – University to get medical treatment for her injuries.

Police investigated and eventually arrested Olsen. He has been charged with multiple crimes, including sexual assault, terroristic threats, and aggravated assault.

After being placed under arrest, Olsen was taken to a local jail and held on a bond of $103,000.

Passaic County NJ Criminal AttorneysPassaic County Sheriff’s officers recently nabbed a man accused of possessing a large quantity of cocaine at a residence in Paterson, New Jersey.

Police initially arrested a different suspect on marijuana possession charges. That suspect was reportedly driving an Acura MDX on Temple Street in Paterson when cops stopped his vehicle. Officers approached the car and reportedly smelled marijuana emanating from the vehicle.

The suspect allegedly told police that he had a small baggie of marijuana inside the vehicle. He turned over the illicit drugs to police and was placed under arrest.

A short time later, the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office sent additional officers to the area to continue the investigation. Once again, police reportedly smelled marijuana. A search of a nearby residence allegedly turned up small baggies of cocaine, three larger bags with five ounces of cocaine, and assorted drug paraphernalia such as scales for weighing drugs and zip-lock bags for packaging drugs.

According to officials, the seized drugs have a total street value of approximately $11,000.

After being arrested, the second suspect was taken to the Passaic County Jail in Paterson, NJ.

Paterson NJ Criminal Defense LawyersA Paterson New Jersey man wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of a local gas station worker was apprehended in Pennsylvania.

The suspect, a 28-year-old resident of Paterson, NJ, allegedly used a handgun to shoot and kill the victim during a robbery attempt on January 23, 2017.

The victim was a 57-year-old resident of Fair Lawn, New Jersey. After the shooting, he was taken to nearby St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center so that he could receive medical treatment for his gunshot wounds. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

Detectives with the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office and the Paterson Police Department conducted a joint investigation into the fatal shooting and identified the suspect as the likely shooter. Authorities later found the suspect in Pennsylvania and placed him under arrest.

The suspect was charged with multiple crimes, including first degree murder, armed robbery, and unlawful possession of a weapon.

The suspect is currently behind held at the Pottsville Police Department in Pennsylvania. He will eventually be extradited back to Passaic County, New Jersey.

Clifton New Jersey Assault AttorneysClifton New Jersey police are attempting to locate a man who allegedly hit a gas station attendant with his car after reportedly stealing gas.

The scary incident occurred at the Shell Station on Route 3 in Clifton, NJ. The suspect reportedly drove his car into the gas station in a silver vehicle and had the gas station attendant fill his car with $25 worth of gas.

According to law enforcement officials, the suspect declined to pay the bill and instead tried to flee the scene in his vehicle.

The gas station attendant attempted to stop the suspect by running onto Route 3 and standing in front of the car. The suspect then allegedly struck the victim with the vehicle, paused for a moment, and drove off.

The victim, a 56-year-old Clifton resident, walked away from the crash and went to an area medical facility. Doctors at the Passaic County hospital evaluated the victim and later listed him in stable condition.

Clifton NJ detectives investigated the incident and got surveillance video footage that reportedly showed the suspect committing the assault with his car.

If Clifton police can determine the suspect’s identity, he would probably be charged with multiple crimes, including assault by auto and theft.

Clifton NJ Robbery SuspectPolice in Clifton New Jersey recently arrested a man who allegedly committed an armed robbery and then rammed police patrol vehicle during the escape.

The Clifton Police Department got a call just after 12:30 p.m. to report a possible break-in at a home on the 200 block of Washington Avenue in Clifton, NJ.

While Clifton police officers were headed to the scene, the suspect reportedly drove off. So witnesses followed him and alerted law enforcement. The witnesses said that the suspect aimed a handgun at them.

A Clifton patrol cop found the suspect traveling along Route 46 East. The police vehicle was disabled, however, when the suspect allegedly rammed the car.

Numerous other cops continued to pursue the suspect. The chase went from Route 46 East to Route 20 north and finally to Route 80 east, ending on the last highway when the suspect crashed his vehicle.

After the accident, the suspect allegedly exited his car and tried to flee the scene on foot. Police captured him in a wooded area near the highway.

Several law enforcement agencies helped with the pursuit of the suspect, including the Clifton Police Department, the Elmwood Park Police Department, and the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office.

The suspect is a 42-year-old Passaic NJ resident. He faces numerous criminal charges, including armed robbery, burglary, possession of burglar tools, aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, resisting arrest, and eluding police.

After being placed under arrest and charged, the suspect was moved to the Passaic County Jail in Paterson, NJ.

Paterson New Jersey Sex Crime AttorneysA Paterson New Jersey man is headed to prison after he was found guilty of sexually assaulting a juvenile girl in Union County, NJ.

The suspect is a 29-year-old resident of Paterson, New Jersey. He was accused of sexually assaulting a minor victim under the age of 13 in Plainfield NJ over a period of two years.

Detectives with the Union County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit conducted an investigation and eventually arrested the suspect. He then faced numerous criminal charges, including first degree aggravated sexual assault, first degree sexual assault, and second degree endangering the welfare of a child.

A Union County jury later found the suspect guilty on the sex crime charges.

Now the suspect has been sentenced to 28 years behind bars. Since the crime is listed in the No Early Release Act (NERA), the suspect will have to serve at least 85 percent of his sentence before he gains parole eligibility.

Additionally, the suspect is going to be required to register as a sex offender under Megan’s Law.

Clifton New Jersey Theft LawyersClifton NJ police are searching for three people accused of impersonating city workers in order to gain access to a home and then steal expensive jewelry.

The theft crime was committed last week. According to law enforcement officials, the three suspects knocked on the door of house in Clifton NJ and told the woman who answered the door that they were city employees. The suspect further said that they needed to check the home’s water valves.

Once inside the home, the suspect began to look at sinks and faucets before turning their attention to a bedroom on the second floor. While two of the suspects distracted the homeowner, the third suspect stole expensive jewelry from the bedroom.

When the victim later realized that her personal possessions were gone, she dialed 911 and alerted the police.

Detectives with the Clifton Police Department are currently investigating the theft incident and trying to determine the identities of the culprits.

Clifton NJ police have asked city residents to local residents to be careful about letting any suspicious people inside their houses.

Paterson New Jersey Theft ChargesA corrections officer with the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office has been arrested and charged with theft after she allegedly stole cash from her local police union.

The suspect, a 53-year-old resident of Paterson, is employed by the Passaic County Sheriff’s Office and formerly served as the treasurer for Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association (PBA) Local #197.

According to law enforcement officials, the suspect used her position as union treasurer to embezzle money from December 2011 to May 2016.

When union officials discovered that cash had gone missing, they alerted local law enforcement to the fraud and theft offenses.

Detectives with the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office investigated the suspect and found enough evidence to bring criminal charges against her.

If the suspect is ultimately convicted of third degree theft, she would face severe penalties that include a sentence of 3-5 years in New Jersey State Prison and heavy monetary fines.

After being arrested and processed, the suspect was released on her own recognizance.

Paterson New Jersey Murder SuspectPolice officers apprehended one of the suspects in a triple homicide in Maplewood New Jersey that resulted in the death of a Paterson NJ woman.

Two men allegedly committed the homicide at an apartment on Van Ness Court in Maplewood on January 29, 2017. According to authorities, the two suspects went to the apartment building and tried to rob the three victims. At some point, the suspects allegedly shot and killed the victims.

The victims included a 30-year-old Paterson woman, a 44-year-old Newark NJ man, and a 45-year-old Maplewood NJ man.

Maplewood NJ firefighters went to the apartment to conduct a welfare check and found the victims’ bodies.

Multiple law enforcement agencies worked on the investigation, including the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office, the Maplewood Police Department, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

Police officers eventually located one of the murder suspects in Maryland. He was apprehended without incident by Maryland officers.

Police are still attempting to locate the other murder suspect, a 33-year-old male from Galloway in Atlantic County, NJ.

The suspects are going to face serious criminal charges, including three counts of first degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder, felony murder, armed robbery, and unlawful possession of a weapon.

The suspect who was placed under arrest is currently being held at a jail in Maryland. He will need to be extradited back to Essex County, NJ.

Paterson NJ Sexual Assault ChargesA Paterson New Jersey man is headed to prison for a very long time after being convicted on sexual assault charges.

The suspect is a 29-year-old resident of Paterson, NJ. He was accused of sexually assaulting a child under the age of 13 in Plainfield, New Jersey over a two-year period.

The victim notified the Plainfield Police Department, which then contacted the Union County Prosecutor’s Office. Detectives opened an investigation and soon arrested the suspect.

The suspect was charged with multiple sex crimes, including first degree aggravated sexual assault and second degree endangering the welfare of a child.

The suspect was ultimately convicted by a Union County jury in 2016.

Now the suspect is on his way to prison after a Union County Superior Court judge handed down a stiff sentence that includes 19 years for the aggravated sexual assault charge and nine years for the child endangerment charge.

The judge imposed the sentences consecutively, which means that the total prison sentence is 28 years. Beyond that, the suspect will have to serve at least 85 percent of his sentence before becoming eligible for parole.
