Carlstadt NJ Simple Assault SuspectCarlstadt New Jersey police recently apprehended a Haledon man accused of assaulting his girlfriend during a violent altercation at a Carlstadt hotel.

According to law enforcement, the Carlstadt Police Department got a 911 call about a domestic dispute at the EconoLodge hotel on Washington Avenue in Carlstadt, NJ. The emergency call was placed by the desk manager of the hotel.

The fight reportedly left the suspect’s girlfriend with significant physical injuries, including several bruises and bloody cuts. When Carlstadt NJ cops arrived at the hotel, they found the victim suffering from serious pain as a result of the assault.

The victim told Carlstadt police officers that the suspect bit her on her face and punched her on the side of her head.

The 28-year-old suspect, who lives in Haledon, NJ, was placed under arrest and charged with numerous crimes, including simple assault, criminal mischief, and harassment.

If the suspect is ultimately convicted on the simple assault charges, he would be in store for severe penalties. As set forth by N.J.S.A. 2C:12-1(a), simple assault is considered a disorderly persons offense. A conviction on simple assault charges could result in a sentence of up to six months in the county jail.

After being arrested and processed, the suspect was taken to the Bergen County Jail in Hackensack, NJ. He was being held at the correctional facility on a $1,000 bond.

Wayne NJ Forgery LawyersPolice in Wayne NJ recently arrested two men accused of passing counterfeit cash at local businesses.

According to authorities, the suspects used counterfeit money to make a number of purchases at different stores located in Wayne, New Jersey.

The first fraud incident reportedly occurred at the Walgreens in the Valley Brook Shopping Center in Wayne NJ. Store workers called local police after two men purchases items using fake $100 bills. When Wayne NJ police officers arrived at the scene, they learned that the suspects also used counterfeit money at two other nearby stores.

Later that same night, Wayne police received another report of fake cash being distributed at a business on Valley Road. Police officers investigated and discovered the suspects standing inside a nearby liquor store. A police officer recognized one of the suspects from an earlier incident in which the suspect was charged with disorderly conduct.

The two suspects, an 18-year-old Orange NJ man and a 19-year-old Orange man, were placed under arrest and charged with forgery.

If the suspects are ultimately convicted of forgery, they would be in store for significant penalties. As set forth by N.J.S.A. 2C:21-1, anyone caught altering money can be charged with a third degree crime and potentially sentenced to 3-5 years in New Jersey State Prison.

After being arrested and processed, the suspects were moved to the Passaic County Jail. They were each being held at the correctional facility on separate $20,000 bail amounts.

Paterson NJ Attempted Murder LawyersPaterson New Jersey police recently apprehended a man accused of committing an armed robbery at a local business.

According to Paterson law enforcement, the 25-year-old suspect was one of of three men who robbed a store on 12th Avenue in Paterson, NJ.

The suspects reportedly walked into the store, approached a store worker, and demanded that he hand over cash. At one point during the theft incident, one of the suspects allegedly brandished a handgun and shot the store employee. Afterwards, the suspects allegedly grabbed an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the store.

The victim, a 28-year-old Orange NJ man, suffered a gunshot wound to his foot. He was transported to a hospital, where doctors treated him for his injuries.

Meanwhile, detectives with the Paterson Police Department’s Ceasefire Unit investigated the incident. They were soon able to identify the suspect as one of the robbers. He was later found walking near 12th Avenue and East 22nd Street in Paterson, where police arrested him.

The suspect, who lives in Paterson, New Jersey, faces several criminal charges, including attempted murder, armed robbery, and weapons offenses.

If the suspect is eventually convicted of attempted murder, he would be subject to severe penalties. As set forth by N.J.S.A. 2C:5-4, anyone convicted of attempted murder or conspiracy to commit murder can potentially be sentenced to 10-30 years in NJ State Prison.

Paterson New Jersey Murder SuspectsA Paterson New Jersey man pleaded not guilty to charges of raping and murdering a three-year-old girl.

According to Passaic County prosecutors, the 30-year-old suspect sexually assaulted the young victim. Authorities said that the victim was the daughter of the suspect’s 33-year-old girlfriend.

The girlfriend was also charged in connection with the victim’s death because she allegedly allowed the sex offenses to take place. Prosecutors also allege that the girlfriend lied to investigators and tampered with evidence in the case.

On January 20, 2016, both suspects rushed the victim to the emergency room at St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson, New Jersey. The victim had sustained head trauma and was unresponsive.

The Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit looked into the incident and determined that the suspects had caused the victim’s injuries.

The male suspect was initially charged with aggravated sexual assault and sexual assault, while the female suspect was charged with endangering the welfare of a child. However, the charges against the male suspect were upgraded to first degree murder, while the charges against the female suspect were upgraded to aggravated manslaughter, after the victim died due to her brain injury.

If the male suspect is convicted of first degree murder, he would be subject to severe criminal penalties. As set forth by N.J.S.A. 2C:11-3, murder is the most serious criminal offense in the New Jersey Criminal Code. A conviction on first degree murder charges could lead to life imprisonment in NJ State Prison, with a minimum mandatory term of incarceration of 30 years behind bars.

According to officials, the 36-year-old suspect engaged in illicit sexual contact with students while teaching at Martin Van Buren High School in Queens, NY. The suspect worked at the NYC school as a special education math teacher.

School officials and law enforcement started an investigation into the suspect after students accused him of a number of sexual offenses, including exposing himself in the classroom, touching a female student’s breast, and engaging in oral sex with a male student.

Paterson NJ Armed Robbery LawyersPaterson New Jersey police are looking for three men who allegedly robbed a local cellphone store.

The theft took place on December 18, 2015. According to authorities, the three male suspects entered the Boost mobile store on Market Street in Paterson NJ, near the Paterson train station, and stole almost $600 in cash.

One of the suspects was allegedly holding a handgun while the other suspects ordered store workers to hand over cash from the store register.

After getting money from the employees, the suspects exited the store and ran away. According to witnesses, the suspects headed in the direction of Park Avenue and 16th Avenue.

The Paterson Police Department and the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit are conducting a joint investigation the robbery. Even nearly two months later, Paterson investigators have not yet identified any of the suspects because the suspects covered their faces during the theft.

In the hopes of spurring the investigation, Paterson police recently released a video of the suspects committing the robbery.

If the suspects are eventually identified and arrested, they would be subject to significant criminal penalties. According to authorities, the 24-year-old suspect committed the assault a short time before 5:00 a.m. at the Exxon gas station on Lakeside Road in West Milford, New Jersey. The suspect reportedly drove his car at the 22-year-old victim and pinned him against a metal fence. The suspect then allegedly drove away and fled the area.

The West Milford Police Department received a call about the incident and dispatched officers to the scene. West Milford investigators spoke with the victim and looked at video surveillance footage before determining that the suspect’s actions were deliberate. The victim told police that the violent incident stemmed from a verbal dispute that occurred just moments earlier.

West Milford police officers were able to locate the suspect and arrest him. He reportedly resides in Oak Ridge, a community located along the border of West Milford and Jefferson Township, New Jersey.

The suspect was charged with aggravated assault and cited for several traffic offenses, including leaving the scene of an accident, reckless driving, and failure to report an accident.

After being placed under arrest and charged, the suspect secured his release by posting $5,000 bail. He will be required to appear in Passaic County Superior Court, in Paterson, NJ, at a later date so that he can answer the very serious charges against him.

Passaic NJ Child Pornography AttorneysPassaic New Jersey law enforcement recently arrested a 17-year-old boy accused of illegally possessing and distributing child pornography on his home computer.

According to Passaic authorities, the teen suspect uploaded and emailed a number of files containing images of child pornography. The Passaic County Sheriff’s Office started its investigation into the suspect after the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children notified local law enforcement with a cybertip.

During the investigation, police learned that someone had uploaded and emailed child pornography files from an apartment located in Passaic, NJ.

Passaic County sheriffs were able to obtain a search warrant to enter the Passaic apartment. During a search of the residence, police officers found and seized the suspect’s computer. Investigators allegedly discovered 12 files of child pornography on the suspect’s personal computer.

The underage suspect was arrested and charged with juvenile delinquency for possession and distribution of child pornography.

Passaic County Sheriff Richard H. Berdnik later released a statement, calling the crime particularly upsetting because it involved a minor “exploiting other younger children.” Berdnik also urged parents to closely monitor their kids’ activities and computer habits.

After the juvenile suspect in this case was processed, police released him into the custody of his parents. He will be required to make an appearance in Passaic County Family Court at a later date to address the sex crime charges.

Paterson NJ Aggravated Assault LawyersPaterson New Jersey police are searching for a man who allegedly shot a person on a city street.

According to law enforcement, the shooting went down a short time after 1:30 p.m. The Paterson Police Department got a report of gunshots fired near the intersection of 19th Avenue and East 33rd Street in Paterson, NJ.

When Paterson police officers got to the area, they discovered the 32-year-old victim lying in the street. He was suffering from gunshot wounds to the upper body.

The victim, who lives in Bloomfield New Jersey, was taken to a nearby hospital so that he could receive medical treatment. Hospital officials later listed him in critical condition.

Authorities said that the victim was shot after he got out of his car. Two men reportedly approached him, with one of the men holding a firearm and firing multiple gunshots in the direction of the victim.

Paterson NJ detectives are currently looking into the shooting. Paterson police believe that the victim was targeted by the suspect.

Law enforcement has not yet identified a suspect in the shooting. If police can eventually determine the identity of the suspect, he would probably face serious criminal charges for aggravated assault and gun crimes.

Afterwards, the suspect reportedly ran away and fled the scene on foot.

The victim then dialed 911 and notified the Clifton Police Department. The victim was able to provide police with a description of his attacker. The suspect is described as a male in his 30s.

Clifton NJ investigators have not yet identified a suspect in the case.

If police are able to figure out who the mugger was, he would probably face criminal charges for robbery and aggravated assault.
