A Butler NJ woman has been charged with Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) in Bloomingdale after she allegedly caused two DWI accidents.
On March 21, the Bloomingdale Police Department got a call about a hit-and-run accident on Main Street. When cops showed up at the scene, they began to investigate.
While Bloomingdale police officers investigated the first hit-and-run crash and spoke to witnesses, they received a report of a second crash on Main Street.
Police officers then went to the site of the second auto accident. When the suspect allegedly tried to drive away, cops followed and then pulled her over in Butler, New Jersey.
Arresting officers reportedly noticed the suspect showing signs of intoxication. Police also reportedly found empty alcohol containers inside the woman’s vehicle.
The suspect was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Wayne NJ so that doctors could treat her for her accident-related injuries.
The suspect is a 57-year-old resident of Butler, New Jersey. She was cited for numerous traffic offenses, including drunk driving, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to report an accident, eluding law enforcement, and driving with an open container of alcohol.
