A man from Ringwood, New Jersey has been indicted a federal crime for distribution of cocaine in NJ and NY.
The suspect is a 50-year-old resident of Ringwood, NJ. He reportedly works as a pilot and allegedly used his plan to transport cocaine to drug dealers in New Jersey and New York. According to federal authorities, the suspect picked up the cocaine in Guyana and then flew to the US.
The suspect also allegedly smuggled large amounts of cash into the country. The cash was reportedly obtained through illegal drug deals.
The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and IRS Criminal Investigations investigated the suspect and eventually connected him to the drug distribution enterprise. He was placed under arrest in July 2015. Now he has been indicted on criminal charges for conspiracy to distribute cocaine and money laundering.
Since the crime allegedly occurred across international borders, the suspect has been charged in US District Court.
