Paterson NJ police recently arrested a local man accused of shooting someone on a city street last month.
The violent incident occurred in the area of 10th Avenue and East 27th Street in Paterson, NJ. According to law enforcement officials, the suspect shot a man walking on 10th Avenue.
Fortunately, the victim in the shooting incident survived his very serious injuries.
The Paterson Police Department and the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office conducted a joint investigation into the crimes, with detectives eventually identifying the suspect as a 36-year-old male from Paterson, NJ. Police later located the suspect and placed him under arrest.
The suspect is subject to multiple criminal charges, including charges for attempted murder, illegal possession of a handgun, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and a certain persons offense.
If the suspect is convicted on the charges of attempted murder or the weapons offense charges, he would face a lengthy term of incarceration in New Jersey State Prison.
