North Jersey police are attempting to find a Passaic woman who allegedly committed several pickpocket thefts at grocery stores and supermarkets.
The suspect was identified by law enforcement as a 47-year-old woman who lives in Passaic, NJ. She also reportedly has a previous address in Lodi, New Jersey.
According to Clifton authorities, the suspect committed at least five pickpocket thefts, as well as credit card fraud, in different areas of North Jersey. The suspect reportedly targeted women at supermarkets. The victims would put their purses in grocery store shopping carts and then look for food on aisles. While they did this, the suspect allegedly snatched wallets from the purses.
Police eventually identified the suspect and got warrants for her arrest. If authorities can eventually locate and arrest the suspect, she would face very serious charges for theft of movable property.
Anyone with information about the suspect should contact Clifton law enforcement officials at 973-470-5908.
