A convicted sex offender was placed under arrest in Bloomingdale NJ and charged with child pornography distribution.
The suspect is a 41-year-old man who lives in Bloomingdale, New Jersey. He was previously convicted on aggravated sexual assault charges and ordered to register as a convicted sex offender under NJ Megan’s Law.
The suspect’s sentence for the earlier conviction includes a prohibition against Internet usage. Additionally, the suspect is subject to parole supervision for life.
The Passaic County Sheriff’s Office found out that the suspect may have been storing illegal child pornography on his personal computer, so authorities launched an investigation. Police later executed a search warrant at the suspect’s Bloomingdale house and allegedly discovered 10 files with videos of child pornography.
The suspect now faces charges for numerous sexual offenses, including distribution of child pornography and possession of child pornography.
After being placed under arrest and charged, the suspect was remanded to the Passaic County Jail in Paterson, New Jersey.
