Police in Paterson NJ are looking into a recent shooting in the area of a local gas station. Two men were seriously injured as a result of the shooting incident.
The Paterson Police Department got a phone call around 1:00 a.m. about gunshots fired in the vicinity of Market Street and Madison Avenue in Paterson, New Jersey. When Paterson NJ police officers arrived at the scene, they found two males suffering from gunshot wounds.
The two victims are both residents of Paterson, NJ. One victim is a 28-year-old Paterson NJ man who suffered a gunshot wound to the leg. The other victim is a 31-year-old Paterson male who suffered a gunshot wound to the torso.
After the shooting, the victims were transported to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson NJ and treated for their shooting injuries. Fortunately, both men are expected to survive their injuries.
Paterson Police Department detectives are actively investigating the shooting incident and trying to identify the person responsible.
If authorities can ultimately identify and capture a suspect, the culprit would probably face multiple criminal charges for aggravated assault and various weapons offenses.
