A Paterson New Jersey man who allegedly committed an armed robbery of the Woodland Park TD Bank was recently apprehended by police.
According to law enforcement, the suspect robbed the TD Bank branch on McBride Avenue in Woodland Park, NJ. He reportedly entered the bank a short time before 10:00 a.m., walked up to a bank teller, and gave her a note. The note allegedly indicated that the suspect was armed with a gun and would shoot the teller unless she gave him money.
Once the suspect had approximately $500 in cash, he reportedly exited the building, got into a parked car, and drove off.
Shortly after the theft incident, the Woodland Park Police Department received multiple calls about the bank robbery. Police officers then spotted the suspect’s motor vehicle driving near McBride Avenue and Glover Avenue. The Woodland Park cops stopped the suspect’s car and placed him under arrest.
The suspect is a 30-year-old resident of Paterson, NJ. He faces multiple criminal charges, including robbery and terroristic threats.
After being arrested and processed, the suspect was remanded to the Passaic County Jail in Paterson, NJ.
