Paterson NJ cops recently apprehended a local man accused of committing a triple shooting this summer.
The violent incident occurred on August 4, 2016 near the intersection of East 42nd Street and Market Street in Paterson, NJ. According to law enforcement, the suspect fired multiple gunshots into a group of people gathered on the street.
Three people in the group suffered injuries as a result of the shooting. They were transported to a local hospital, where doctors treated them and stabilized their conditions. The good news is that all three victims survived their injuries.
Detectives with the Paterson Police Department Ceasefire Unit conducted an investigation into the shooting and determined that the likely shooter was a 22-year-old Paterson NJ man. However, police could not find the suspect until recently getting an anonymous tip about his location at a Park Avenue home. Detectives entered the residence and reportedly discovered the suspect trying to hide in the bathroom.
