Paterson NJ Carjacking LawyersClifton New Jersey authorities are searching for four men accused of committing a violent carjacking.

The violent crime occurred around 9:35 p.m. According to Clifton law enforcement, the four suspects walked toward the car when it briefly stopped on the 100 block of Highland Avenue. Two of the suspects were allegedly carrying firearms as they approached the vehicle and ordered the vehicle occupants to step out.

The occupants of the car included a Passaic woman, two men from Passaic NJ, one NY man, and a small child.

When one of the victims exited the car, one suspect allegedly held a gun to their head and robbed her of jewelry.

After taking the jewelry, all four suspects got into the vehicle and sped off.

Clifton NJ police are currently investigating the violent theft crime and are attempting to determine the identities of the suspects. Law enforcement recently released descriptions of the carjackers, indicating that they are all Hispanic men in their 20s.

Assuming police can eventually identify and capture the carjackers, the men would face severe penalties. As set forth by N.J.S.A. 2C:15-2 is a special kind of first degree felony that carries a potential sentence of 30 years in NJ State Prison.
