Paterson NJ Attempted Murder LawyersPaterson NJ police recently arrested a local man accused of firing a gun and shooting a young boy.

According to authorities, the shooting happened on February 29, 2016.

Paterson Police Department detectives and Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office detectives conducted a joint investigation into the shooting and eventually determined that the suspect had probably fired the gunshot that went through a window at a residence on Rosa Parks Boulevard in Paterson, New Jersey. The victim struck by the bullet was a seven-year-old boy.

After being shot in the shoulder, the victim dialed 911 and notified the Paterson Police Department. He was then rushed to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson NJ so that he could be treated for his gunshot-related injuries.

The suspect is a 29-year-old man from Paterson. He was later located and arrested at a residence on 12th Avenue in Paterson, New Jersey.

The suspect has been charged with a number of criminal offenses, including attempted murder, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and possession of a defaced firearm.

After being placed under arrest and charged, the suspect was transported to Paterson police headquarters, where he was being held in advance of a bail hearing.
