Paterson New Jersey police arrested a man who allegedly murdered two people at a late-night warehouse party.
The 30-year-old suspect, who resides in Paterson NJ, was captured in Passaic, NJ. Police were able to track him down after getting an anonymous tip about his location.
The fatal shootings went down around 3:45 a.m. on December 27, 2015. The suspect allegedly committed a double homicide at warehouse party on 1st Avenue in Paterson, New Jersey.
Two people, a 24-year-old male and a 26-year-old male, were shot and killed at the Paterson warehouse party. The victims were both locals who lived in Paterson, NJ.
After the shootings, Paterson police officers and Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office detectives canvassed the area but could not find the suspect.
The suspect reportedly has a criminal record: he was released from state prison in April 2015 after serving four years for aggravated assault and weapons offenses.
The suspect is now charged with numerous crimes in connection with the recent Paterson homicides, including first degree murder and multiple gun crimes. At this point, the suspect only faces charges for one count of murder.
After the suspect was arrested, the Paterson police director issued a formal statement commending Paterson investigators who “worked tirelessly in solving and bringing those responsible to face justice and closure to the family.”
