Police officers recently apprehended an East Orange NJ man who allegedly killed someone in Paterson, New Jersey.
The fatal stabbing happened just after 11:00 p.m. on March 27, 2017. According to authorities, the 19-year-old suspect stabbed the 52-year-old victim in the basement of an apartment complex on the 200 block of 20th Avenue in Paterson, NJ.
The Paterson Police Department got a call about the stabbing and sent cops to the area. By the time that Paterson police officers arrived at the apartment, the suspect was nowhere to be found.
The victim resided in Paterson, NJ. When police officers and paramedics found him, he was covered in blood and suffering from stab wounds.
Detectives with both the Paterson Police Department and the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office investigated the murder and identified the suspect as the person who may have been responsible.
Now the suspect faces criminal charges after Woodland Park police officers arrested him on unrelated charges.
The suspect has been charged with aggravated manslaughter, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
