Paterson NJ police are looking for a man wanted on attempted murder charges after allegedly shooting another person.
According to law enforcement, the shooting incident happened in the Third Ward of Paterson, around the intersection of 19th Avenue and East 33rd Street. Just a few moments before the gunshots were fired, the victim stepped inside his vehicle.
The victim, who lives Bloomfield, was transported to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center, where doctors treated him for multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body. Authorities later indicated that the victim’s condition is improving.
Investigators looking into the shooting and determined that the victim was probably targeted due to a dispute between him and the suspect.
A short time after the shooting, Paterson police searched the area and tried to find the suspect. However, police were unable to locate him.
The suspect is a 20-year-old male from Paterson, New Jersey. He has already been charged with attempted murder for the violent incident. Police might also charge a second person in the shooting because witnesses said that there was a second man who may have been involved in the shooting.
The suspect has reportedly been seen in the area of the shooting on several occasions.
Paterson NJ police have asked for the public’s assistance in finding the suspect. Anyone who spots the suspect should consider him armed and dangerous.
