Paterson NJ Manslaughter ChargesPaterson New Jersey police officers recently arrested a local man who reportedly threw a deadly punch during a bar fight and killed another man.

The suspect is a 34-year-old man from Paterson, NJ. According to law enforcement officials, the suspect and the 53-year-old victim got into a verbal dispute at J&G Lounge & Liquors in Paterson, New Jersey. At some point during the argument, the Paterson suspect allegedly threw a punch that struck the victim in the face and caused him to fall backward onto the floor.

The Paterson Police Department got a 911 emergency call about the violent altercation and sent cops to the bar, which is located on Park Avenue in Paterson, NJ.

The victim was transported to nearby St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson, but doctors were unable to save him.

The suspect was subsequently placed under arrest and charged with reckless manslaughter, a very serious criminal offense that carries a potential penalty of 10 years in New Jersey State Prison.
