Paterson NJ Aggravated Assault AttorneysPolice in Paterson NJ are currently investigating a non-fatal shooting that led to two people suffering severe injuries.

The shooting occurred around 9:20 p.m. near the intersection of Governor Street and Carroll Street in Paterson, New Jersey. The Paterson Police Department received a report of gunshots being fired and dispatched officers to the scene.

When Paterson cops got to the site of the shooting, they saw a 15-year-old boy who had been shot in the torso. He was transported to St. Joseph’s Regional Medical Center in Paterson, where law enforcement came across the second victim in the shooting incident. The second victim is an 18-year-old male who was reportedly taken to the medical facility via private vehicle.

Paterson NJ detectives are actively investigating the violent incident and trying to identify a suspect.

If and when police identify the shooter, that person would probably face criminal charges for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and weapons offenses like unlawful possession of a handgun and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
