Wayne NJ Cocaine Possession ChargesWayne NJ police recently arrested three people after authorities allegedly found 44 bags of heroin, as well as other illegal narcotics, in a car during a traffic stop for speeding.

Two Wayne police officers were on patrol near the Kohl’s department store by the Wayne-Pequannock border when they reportedly saw a 2007 Hyundai commit a speeding violation. The officers stopped the car and approached the driver’s side.

While talking to the driver, a 26-year-old Sparta NJ woman, the Wayne cops allegedly observed drug paraphernalia and a bag of heroin inside the motor vehicle.

Police later searched the car and reportedly found 44 glassine bags of heroin that had been hidden under a floorboard, an unspecified amount of crack cocaine, and a folding knife.

Wayne NJ police arrested the driver and two men who were passengers in the vehicle.

The Sparta woman faces charges for multiple drug offenses, including possession of heroin and possession of cocaine. She has also been cited for possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) in a motor vehicle.

Meanwhile, the two passengers – a 39-year-old Montague resident and a 22-year-old Green Pond NJ resident – face criminal charges for possession of cocaine.

After being placed under arrest and processed, the suspects were remanded to the Passaic County Jail in Paterson, New Jersey.
